M31 - The Andromeda Galaxy
Taken on 29th August 2005. Images 10x3mins + 7x5mins + 4x2mins taken at the prime focus of the ED80 refractor, guided using the ST-4 autoguider. Possibly my best image to date, thanks to Noel Carboni for his expert help in Photoshop.
The elliptical companion galaxy M110 shows structure here and even the faint bridge between M31 and M110 is just visible.

Taken on 5th May 2005. A stack of images (5x60sec + 5x120sec + 2x180sec) taken at the prime focus of the Orion ED80 refractor with the
modified Canon 300D, all at ISO800. Autoguided with the ST-4. Images calibrated with dark and flat frames using ImagesPlus.
