Jupiter from Barbados - 4th/5th September 2009
Please click on any image below to see a larger version
This page has thirteen images all taken on the night of the 4th/5th September covering CM2 longitudes from 19° to 165° with the Great Red Spot at CM2 = 138°.
Additionally the Wesley Impact Scar is visible coming on the disk in the later images in this sequence.
As you scroll down this page you will notice the first few images are noteably 'softer' than those that follow. This is mainly due to the better seeing at higher altitudes
as Jupiter climbed towards 61 degrees.
All images taken with a C11 and SkyNyx2-0M at f/37 with Astronomik type-II RGB filters. Frame rate was either 66 or 39 fps (depending on transparency). 50 seconds per channel. Images are presented with South at top and the following edge at right.
